Locations and how to reach it
The place is located in Ubud, more specifically in Taro (yes, it shares its name with a certain starchy plant). Getting there should not be too hard, especially if you travel to the place from Denpasar. To get to the place from Denpasar, there are several methods of transportations that you can use.
The first method is bemo, which will probably cost you around Rp 8,000. This price only applies to Indonesians, though. If you are a foreigner (or if you look like a foreigner), they will ask for Rp 50,000. That is quite a jump, so if you want to some money, do not ride the bemo. You also got taxies, both online and offline. Both are priced around Rp 150,000, so it can get too expensive.
You can also rent a car, which honestly can be pretty expensive. With a rented car, however, you can basically use the car at any time of the day as long as you stayed on the contract.
Let us now talk about the ticket price
Because it is a popular tourist destination, it is only right if the ticket price to enter the place is not cheap. You see, the place got like three kinds of admissions that you can choose from. The first is the price of the entry. For adults, you would need to pay Rp 300,000, for children Rp 160,000, and for infants Rp 80,000 (yes, they charge a price for infants).
The second prices are for the elephant ride. Adults need to pay Rp 810,000, children Rp 575,000, and infants Rp 250,000. Not the kind of vacation that a modest family can afford, right?
The last set of prices are for the admission and the elephant ride. Adults go by Rp 1,000,000, children at Rp 650,000, and infants at Rp 290,000. If you want to go watch and ride the elephants, I suggest you go pay this ticket price of Elephant Safari Park and you will be set for a day.
